I have used the Kuhn Rikon parers and been very satisfied with their performance. So I decided to give this small Paring Knife a place in my backpack camping supplies. Very pleased with it--it's just the right size and the protective sheath makes it a plus! I used it for onions, tomatoes, and other veggies. Handled everything with ease! Love the colors!

It's a good sturdy knife, sharp enough but not like some make it out to be. It is a good size and lightweight which is good for a kitchen knife. I like the sheath which would be really good for camping along with its weight. At $11 it's not a deal though.

After using it at a cousin's house on Christmas, I got the Kuhn Rikon 6-Inch Nonstick Colori Santoku Knife, Black, and absolutely love it. It's an amazing knife. So I got two of these, one for me and one for my elderly mother. We were both disappointed -- the knives we got aren't all of that sharp. Mine also feels like flimsy plastic to me. I'm confused by the positive reviews here, wondering if my mother and I both got 'lemons' or something. If you're looking for a really sharp knife that cuts well, I'd recommend going for one of the larger Kuhn Rikon knives.

I purchased this towel hook from Amazon to match my new faucet Price Pfister F042YP0U Ashfield 4-Inch Centerset Lavatory Faucet, Rustic Bronze. We had chrome fixtures with gold trim before so it didn't look quite right with the new faucet. I found that bronze isn't an easy color to match so I was happy to find that Amazon carries Price Pfister accessories. I also purchased the towel bar Price Pfister BTB-YP2U Ashfield 24" Single Towel Bar, Rustic Bronze and the toilet paper holder Price Pfister BPH-YP1U Ashfield Paper Holder, Rustic Bronze. They were all easy to install. I didn't have to look at the instructions because there were only a few pieces and it was pretty intuitive. The thing that took the longest was repairing the wall where the old hook was located. I wanted to place this one so it didn't interfere with an electrical outlet. The old one was right above it and the towel hung over the outlet.

This Ashfield line has a nice classy look and seem to be well made. It was an easy way to update the guest bathroom. I'm very happy with the results.

Love this show and DO recommend it - but not for youngsters! But, as is too often the case, The disc quality is so-so. Washing two of the discs seems to have cleared the problem on them but two other discs (season 20) arrived severly scratched because the case was damaged and the discs slid around during shipment - so, parts of the show I must skip over. Not good, Sony!


Rescue Me - Complete Seasons 1-5 [DVD] Review by Greego "greego"

This show is about a group of New York City firefighters at a firehouse in New York (62 Truck). The show revolves around the job of being a firefighter New York, the post-911 psychological repercussions on firefighters in the city, and the personal lives of a group of firefighters.
The show is largely entertaining and has an addictive quality to it despite moderately subpar writing in the earlier seasons and characters you mostly don't care about except for maybe the lead character, Tommy Gavin, who is played by Denis Leary.

Denis Leary really brings to life the character of Tommy Gavin who is a very flawed alcoholic. I find myself watching this show mainly because Tommy is such an engaging character and he has an interesting relationship with his wife, Janet. The relationship between these two and the crazy situations Tommy gets himself into all of the time is what mostly drive this show for the first four seasons. It is not until the 5th season where the show actually began to really become humorous and display some frequent laugh-out-loud moments. The writers seem to decide what type of show they want Rescue ME to be sometime towards the end of the 4th season. After this season, viewers may still be watching the show mainly for Tommy but there is more to keep you engaged.

The rest of characters are mainly either annoying or just plain not very interesting for the first few seasons. You basically have your player/playboy firefighter who seems to try too hard to play the part but he actually becomes more likeable later. There are the two unbelievably idiotic younger firefighters (one is so stupid you feel like throwing the remote at the television almost every time he is onscreen). You also have the fat middle-aged firefighter who seems to be able to get in bed with hot women simply because he is a firefighter, and you have Jerry, the chief who seems to be more like a father figure to the rest of the guys probably because he has trouble accepting his own son's lifestyle. Larenz Tate becomes a part of the cast in season 4 and adds much power, diversity and personality to the show.


I got the feeling early on that if either of these guys or any other character on the show happened to meet their deaths I would probably not care much. It is no major spoiler to state that more than one of the frequent characters on the show do meet their deaths and it really didn't seem to be too sad of an occasion from a viewer standpoint. This is obviously due to the biggest flaw of the show in the beginning...the writing.

Make no mistake that Rescue Me suffers from some moderate writing flaws such as:

-Characters casually disappear from the show and many times without explanation and some reappear out of nowhere.

-One character in one of the later seasons is billed as mentally challenged but seem to display more intelligence than at least a couple of the firefighters.

- Another character is told by a physician that he/she has chronic illness only after viewing a MRI and running blood test. The diagnosis in question is not a radiological or hematological diagnosis. In other words, the diagnosis cannot be made by MRI or blood work.

- There is excessive use of hallucinations and nightmares.

-One character commits suicide and it happens so abruptly and without warning signs. It felt just tacked on at the last second as if contract negotiations for the actor playing the character could not be reached.

-One character seems to have nothing else better to do with his life but to be available every single time Tommy needs to talk to or meet up with him.

-Tommy seems to have an endless wad of cash. He can cause or be the victim of huge amounts of property damage but still have the cash to brush it off to the side.

-Death is overdone

The most annoying thing about the plot in the show is that things only seem to get worse and worse for the characters. It seems that only through misfortune after misfortune can the writers attempt to make the show interesting. Just to illustrate this point, if one of the characters gets hit by a bus one day, his mother will die later that night and his house will get caught on fire in the morning and while digging under the rubble he will find his wife having sex with the mailman. I may be exaggerating a bit here but some moments in the show actually feels this way at times.

Despite the flaws, the show does provide a moderate amount of entertainment as long as you don't take it too seriously which the show seems to do substantially for most of its episode. I just finished the 5th season which really has some nice humorous moments which is a huge step away from some of the depressing moments featured so frequently in the earlier seasons. Matter-of-fact, there are frequent laugh-out-loud moments in season 5 that would have made earlier seasons much more enjoyable if they were implemented.

Overall, I believe rescue me worth the time if viewers are determined to get past the shortcomings of the first few seasons. Staying along for the ride into the later seasons such as the latter part of the 4 and mostly 5 are beneficial if you are looking for a show that is moderately entertaining with some good laughs. You just will have to trudge through the tears first.

Slime SDSB-1G/02 Review by Happy

I must qualify my rating by saying that I use Slime only on low speed tires (5 MPH or less). I prefer patches in all other tubeless tire repairs where possible. That being said, I am satisfied with this product. Good price. It also has a great shelf life. In all the years I have used this product, as long as it is resealed, it is always ready to go.

I have always used Slime in tires on Mountain Bikes, Lawn Mowers, and ATVs.

Now that I live and work in a less than civilized environment, I have found that it works incredibly well in truck tires. I've gone from having at least one flat a week to having no flats in months!

Also, the gallon jug with pump makes it soooo easy to measure and install.

i had this annoying slow leak and needed to air up every 2 weeks, slimed my tire 2 months ago and the pressure is still holding, i have no doubt it will continue to do so, haven't had a chance to see if it will fix a nail hole yet, but can't wait to try it out see it it'll work

This is a a very nice looking bucket with an attractive wooden handle. Plus they throw shovel in to boot.

It was purchased to hold pellets for our stove. It will not hold a 40 pound bag, but enough to stoke the stove for the night if low. Just right for us.

Also, if you had a wood stove it would work well for paper, kindling, starter, matches or when you need to scoop out ashes etc. Being metal with a sturdy handle it is perfect.

I would recommend as it is sturdy and attractive.

I was intitially disappointed with this montitor. Out of the box it set up easily but the screen appeared washed out and not very crisp. I am comparing it to a 5 year old Sony of the same type that was 1024x768 resolution. My reason for replaceing the Sony is that it had no way to hook a monitor arm on the back, thus the upgrade to this model that does. The Sony was very crisp and sharp with a good contrast ratio. This monitor at the 1024x768 resolution was horribly, faded and blurry even after all my attempts to adjust it and downloading the latest software. Thus, I did have to set it to the higher 1280x1024 to get crispness, but now I have to adjust all of the font sizes and DPI settings in Windows so I can see it, since at the higer resolution, the fonts are smaller. Perhaps it is this way with all of the monitors of this size but I still love my old Sony. I am sure for most people, this will be a great choice, but I do not use it for games or videos, it is for internet, email and work related things such as Word and Excel. I tried a widescreen prior to this and did not like the non-square format. The controls on the front take a few minutes to get used to, but once you do, they are not that bad.

I had a specific need for 19" monitor that was not wide screen. I needed one that was old school 4:3 ratio. The audio editing software that I use stacks multiple tracks vertically. The wide screens that are currently so popular ended up squeezing my vertical tracks so small that I couldn't see them like I needed to. This one solved my problem. It is a ViewSonic VA926. Great picture, good looking, and great warranty. Only complaint I have is that you have no way of lowering the monitor on it's stand. I knew that when I bought it, so I wasn't caught by surprise. The only surprise I had is that Amazon got it here so quickly with their free shipping offer.

I've only had this monitor running for a couple days, but so far I'm extremely pleased with it. I just purchased a new PC with WIN 7 on it. I plugged this monitor in (cable included in purchase) and away I went. Don't see the need to even install the software that accompanies the monitor.

I very much like the 4:3 aspect ratio. I was trying hard to avoid a widescreen monitor in that I use a computer for work purposes and find 4:3 monitors more useful. This monitor fits the bill very nicely. Very bright screen with crisp graphics. Plenty of performance for my needs.

I really like the car seat but not the stroller. I compare it to one of the universal fit strollers. The Britax has terrible storage space. It's not big enough to put in a standard size diaper bag upright. Huge bummer. it's also not particularly stable. If u need to go up or down a small sloped curb, u have to be very careful at what angle bc it is quite unstable. It's not easy to open or close. There's rarely a time I don't struggle. If I had to do again, I would not buy it.

If only this stroller had come out back in 2010! It didn't exist just yet, so I had registered and received a Chicco Cortina travel system. While I loved the Keyfit 30 car seat, the stroller was another story. As baby got bigger over the course of her first year, the stroller seemed to get heavier and bulkier. I knew I wanted to get an umbrella stroller for the toddler years, but a friend recommended I ditch the Chicco and get a whole new light weight stroller.

I eyed the City Mini, having heard many happy reviews. While the Britax is *very* similar, having read other reviews, it seemed to take the best parts of the City Mini, make it its own, and improve on it. I decided on the B-Agile, and I can say after using it for 2 months, I am a very happy Mommy! The stroller folds and opens with easy. It takes up a small piece of real estate in my Accord's trunk. The handling is awesome, and it strolls just as well in grass as on the sidewalk. When my toddler has made a couple of spills or food stains, a little soap and water lifts the stain with ease on the red fabric. I also love the generous sunshade; it is perfect when out in the Florida sun.

My daughter used to get fussy after spending a lot of time in the Chicco, whereas she seems happy as a clam in the B-Agile. I get lots of compliments when I take this stroller out for a spin. Since it goes up to 55 pounds, this will be the stroller that will take us through the rest of the toddler years!

I've had my B-Agile stroller now for about 2 months and must say I'm very happy. The shade it sturdy and large, the wheels, although not air-filled, are coated and create a smooth ride. The stroller folds easily and is easily pushed with one hand. The storage space is small, but adequate and the break works very well. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and expect this to be the last stroller I ever purchase. The only downfall is that when you fold the stroller, it doesn't stand and the plastic tray on the front of the stroller gets scratched. I've had no problem with the seat belt and unlatching the seat belt and have used the reclining option several times. I'm more than happy with the option of placing my Graco car seat on the stroller!

I don't have a small kitchen, but I don't have a dish washer, and I don't have much room around the sink for the other dish racks. This one fits just perfectly.

I don't collapse it, it stays up all the time. And it's been really sturdy.

If you're curious like I was, the dimensions given are for the top part after it's expanded. But the thing is coned shaped. The base is what I wanted to know, because that's where the tight space is.
The base is 11" wide x 15" long with a 1" lip for the drip.

I'd give this 5 stars except it sucks for glasses. It really sucks for holding glasses. The thing is made to hold 15 plates at a time in a small apartment. What?! Look at the product image, it's holding 4 plates and a tea cup that's sideways? Who does that? Not me. I have tall glasses that awkwardly fit in this thing.

Note to the designers of this thing... Do one half of the unit as it is, but the other half, give me some prongs sticking up to hold the glasses instead of those long ribs used to hold plates.

I think I might get adventurous today, pull out the Dremel and do some surgery to make this a useable product.

Overall, I've had it for a month or so now, and I'm happy with it. And I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. But because it can't hold glasses, I'm a bit disappointed.

I just needed space, this looked like the way to go. As indicated in many of the reviews it is pretty sweet. It's nice & big. It should work out great!

Had to knock off a couple stars though because the flexible material that allows it to collapse looks like it's been slashed open with a box cutter in one spot. Who knows how long it will hold up to being used & recollapsed over & over... (which is the only reason I got such a big rack!)

We bought a new car seat because we had one basic need, we needed a car seat that would recline so that our daughter could sleep during long trips.

Since the car seat can be reclined, we thought that it would solve the problem of her little head flopping all over the place, but unfortunately it didn't.

Overall it is a very nice product, however it does not solve the head position issue.

Even with that, I think it's one of the nicest car seats I've seen.

I decided to invest in this seat to have on hand when I help with my nephew. My car is a real pain with installing and removing seats and switching seats with my sister got really old, so buying this ended up being a great choice! It is very easy to handle and has a ton of features that end up coming in really handy! My three going on four year old nephew loves it and I haven't had any issues with the seat that have been previously mentioned. I would imagine that child size has a lot to do with any issues. It is a very nice and comfortable seat for the price...simpler seats were so much more. I like that it has such a high weight and height range so that as long as he will be in a booster seat, this one will work for him. Definitely getting my money's worth.

Moonlight Slumber CU9000 Review by abm

First of all, I wish I had bought this during my first pregnancy instead of the long rectangular pillow that I had to constantly flip from side to side. But better yet, with the body pillow you get under belly AND back support at once which is so nice. It was a little less poufy than I'd originally thought, but in restrospect that's a good thing. If you are going to bend your knee over it, you don't want to hyperextend your hip. If I need more head pillow for additional height (for heartburn, reflux etc), I tuck another pillow under it just a tad and it works well. I like how malleable the pillow is. I read dozens of reviews before buying this and some people complained about not knowing where to put their arms. Seriously? You can just fold your arms right in front of you and push the pillow slightly in front of you to make room. Even though I'm a side sleeper normally, I do enjoy the 'almost back sleeping'(at 30 or 45 degrees) which this pillow makes possible during pregnancy. It's a nice break for my hips. Overall it's fantastic, not perfect, and I still wake up occasionally to reposition, but I'm no longer tossing and turning like I was at 16 weeks before I bought it. I took it with me on vacation and plan on doing so again. It makes any lumpy mattress like sleeping on a cloud. I can totally see how this will be great for nursing too.

I was hesitant to buy a $100 pillow, but a few months into my pregnancy I just couldn't get comfortable (I usually sleep on my stomach). This pillow has been wonderful. I am now in my 7 month and have had no problems with the pillow losing it's shape or fullness - it is just as comfortable as it was when I first got it. It is a large pillow (takes up almost my entire side of our king size bed) but it has been a lifesaver for my back and navigating the baby bump.

I use these Night Time pullups for my 2 yr old for night and day use. They're really absorbent and not as flimsy as the daytime ones, and she has not had an accident yet.(BIG PLUS!) Not to mention she loves the princess designs and starts singing her "princess song" whenever she gets changed and she can get out of them all on her own which is such a big deal to her..............
